Reste processes the personal data collected during booking solely to fulfil the reservation and support you as a customer.
Reste is the controller of your personal data. For any questions about your data, contact dominiklinq@gmail.com.
The booker's name, email address, phone number and home address – the address is needed for the rental agreement. The names of the drivers and participants, and for drivers also their date of birth and driving-licence details, needed to verify eligibility to drive.
We use this data to prepare and fulfil your reservation, to contact you about it, and to meet legal and insurance obligations tied to the rental. We do not use it for marketing without separate consent.
Reservations are handled using the OneRental platform, which acts as a data processor on behalf of Reste. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Driving licence details and the driver's date of birth are erased 12 months after the rental ends, unless something on that booking is still being settled. The rest of the booking data is kept for the period accounting rules require.
Reste may put someone on an internal list if, for example, they did not pay for a rental, did not settle damage, broke the rental terms or gave false details in a booking. The list is there so that a member of staff, never an automated system, decides on that person’s next booking. The basis is the company’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Every entry has a reason. It ends on a set day, no later than 24 months after it is added, or stays with no end date until the company removes it. An entry linked to an unpaid booking can end by itself once that booking is paid. The list is not shared with other companies. Write to dominiklinq@gmail.com to ask whether you are on it, to see the entry about you or to object.
When you enter a tax ID, we fetch the company's name and registered address from public registers: the Polish Ministry of Finance VAT register or the EU VIES system. For a sole trader, those registers are the source of these details (Article 14 GDPR). Reste keeps the company's details to conclude the rental agreement and issue invoices.
If you use a OneRental account, its data – your email address, how you sign in, and any details you save for filling in forms – belongs to the account rather than to Reste, and Reste cannot see it. OneRental is the controller for that data; you change and erase it yourself on your account page. OneRental's privacy notice
